Old or broken underground drains may have roots growing into the drain in search of water, especially during a period of hot dry days. At first the initial fibrous roots may not present a problem but left unattended they will grow and entangle with any matter, paper or solids and create blockages. Worst to come if left unattened the main (tap) root will grow in diameter and cause damage to to the pipe and allow sewage to escape and contaminate the ground.
Our remote operated root cutters will cut out the root and lining the drain afterwards will seal it so that further growth into the drain is no longer possible.
